What is TESTPLUS’s notified body number?
TESTPLUS is the Notified Body with identification number 2908 (NB 2908). It is accredited by TÜRKAK under AB-0155-U to ISO/IEC 17065 (product certification) and under AB-0181-YS to ISO/IEC 17021-1 (management system certification). Our notification is published in the European Commission’s NANDO database.
Under which EU legislation does TESTPLUS certify?
We perform conformity assessment under the Outdoor Noise Directive 2000/14/EC, the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive 2014/30/EU.
Is there a notified body for EMC (2014/30/EU) in Türkiye?
Yes. TESTPLUS is the only notified body designated in Türkiye under the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU and carries out EMC conformity assessment under Annex III (EU type-examination).
Which conformity assessment procedures apply under 2000/14/EC?
For equipment listed in Article 12 of the Directive, which is subject to noise limits, the involvement of a notified body is mandatory. For this equipment TESTPLUS applies the Annex VI (internal control of production with assessment of technical documentation and periodical checking), Annex VII (unit verification) and Annex VIII (full quality assurance) procedures.
How is the noise limit (permissible sound power level) determined under 2000/14/EC?
For equipment listed in Article 12, the permissible guaranteed sound power level (LWA, dB) is determined by the values and formulas in the Article 12 table, according to the type of equipment and parameters such as net installed power (P, kW), electric power (Pel, kW), mass (m, kg) or cutting width (L, cm). When does the new Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 start to apply?
The Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 applies from 20 January 2027 and replaces the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. Manufacturers need to review their products against the new essential health and safety requirements.

My tariff code is on the 2026/32 list. What should I do?
If your tariff code is in Annex 2/A, an Import Inspection Prior Permission must be obtained through TAREKS before import; if it is in Annex 2/B, the product is subject to physical inspection only. In both cases the documents listed in Annex 3 of the Communiqué must be uploaded to TAREKS. If your product requires a notified body certificate (for example under 2000/14/EC noise, 2006/42/EC Annex IV machinery or 2014/30/EU EMC), you can apply to TESTPLUS.
